LayerLab Theatre is an interdisciplinary collective that creates original theatre through layered collaboration. Rather than beginning with a script, we begin with questions.

Our work brings together artists, educators, designers, scholars, performers, and community members to explore stories through interviews, archival research, movement, sound, visual art, writing, and theatrical experimentation. Each project discovers its own form in response to the people, ideas, and materials involved.

We believe theatre is not confined to a single discipline or methodology. By layering perspectives, artistic practices, and lived experiences, we create work that is collaborative and shaped by the people and communities at its center.
